Good books are one of our most important tools for improving health, increasing wealth and upgrading our qualities of life.   Books broaden our horizon even when we do not travel. They in-form us and make us even better.

Good books open avenues of new ideas so we can adapt in a changing world.  Good books can expand our outlook so our thinking broadens. They can pull us up when we are feeling down.  They can help us escape when there is nowhere to go and help us go when we have no map.  Books can help us realize the courage and strength within us.  Books speak our inspiration and remind us of the importance of hard work integrated with hope and courage.  Books battle ignorance, fine tune our intellect and reforge our experience..

Bad books can do the opposite of everything they can do that’s good.  The power of the word has progressively been obscured by “alternate facts” so we have to avoid  books that deviate from truth, make us miserable and develop bad habits.

Books can guide and lead us or mislead and misguide us. So I’m starting a book shelf to highlight books I have written, contributed to and/or read.  These are books on my bookshelf that have made my life better and I think they will yours, too.

This book is a must for anyone who wants to write, publish or have a small or micro business to create extra income. Felix Dennis is an expert at showing how to do succeed in a small business.  Starting as a college dropout with no family money, he created a publishing empire, founded Maxim magazine, made himself one of the richest people in the UK, and had a blast in the process.

How to Get Rich is different from any other book on the subject because Dennis isn’t selling snake oil, investment tips, or motivational claptrap.  He merely wants to help people embrace entrepreneurship, and to share lessons he learned the hard way. “How to Know God”

This is one of my favorites… “How to Know God” translations of Patanjali by Isherwood, because it delves at the core of how we think and can make mental errors.  More importantly it shows ways to correct our mistakes of thought.
