The first is… the lakes. There are over 1,000 names lakes in Lake county so there is water everywhere. This is a shot I took from a float plane. We took off from Lake Dora and flew over our house.
The next are the opportunities for agricultural land. We have an orange grove. Others use pine they grow and sell for timber. This can be profitable. Ours has been but even when not the tax benefits are ideal. Our property tax alone dropped from over $3,000 to below $200 with an ag exemption!
This is our house (lower left) and orange grove on a lake.
The lifestyle is great also…plenty of space… lack of crowds… good roads… a feeling of being in the country but quick, easy access to major cities, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.
For example right next to our house is a huge park.
You can see our roof top from the park entrance.
This park has a lot of wide open space with eight football and…
soccer fields… plus
eight baseball and…
softball diamonds with…
spectator stands, changing rooms and concession areas.
There are tennis courts and…
basketball…
volleyball…
picnic areas…
a huge playground for…
the…
children and…
exercise machines for adults as well as…
a dog area.
The entire park is surrounded by a…
two mile walk we take most days. There are…
moms walking strollers and cyclists and…
educational spots along the path.
The fields are well lighted so…
games can…
be played night and day. The lights are also home to…
several large bird nests.
All in all it is a great recreational place that enhances what Lake County offers in lifestyle.
