The Ultimate Small Overseas Business Freedom

Here is an idea for the ultimate small overseas business freedom:

Should you leave your homeland or not?

If so, where… Mexico… Panama… Ecuador?

Should you invest in real estate, bonds, equities or your own business, or all of the above?

Should you leverage or not?

How can you earn a living in Ecuador or abroad?

So many questions!

There is no perfect answer… what is best differs for every person.

One fact though is that if you have a business that solves problems you have the ultimate freedom and can go anywhere!

This thought came to mind when I read a  June 23, 2009 article in Scientific American entitled  “Weed-Whacking Herbicide Proves Deadly to Human Cells.”

Here is an excerpt:

Used in gardens, farms, and parks around the world, the weed killer Roundup contains an ingredient that can suffocate human cells in a laboratory, researchers say.

New research has found that an ‘inert’ ingredient in the herbicide Roundup can kill human embryonic, placental, and umbilical cord cells.

Used in yards, farms and parks throughout the world, Roundup has long been a top-selling weed killer. But now researchers have found that one of Roundup’s inert ingredients can kill human cells, particularly embryonic, placental and umbilical cord cells.

The new findings intensify a debate about so-called “inerts” — the solvents, preservatives, surfactants and other substances that manufacturers add to pesticides. Nearly 4,000 inert ingredients are approved for use by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Glyphosate, Roundup’s active ingredient, is the most widely used herbicide in the United States.  About 100 million pounds are applied to U.S. farms and lawns every year, according to the EPA.

Until now, most health studies have focused on the safety of glyphosate, rather than the mixture of ingredients found in Roundup. But in the new study, scientists found that Roundup’s inert ingredients amplified the toxic effect on human cells—even at concentrations much more diluted than those used on farms and lawns.

One specific inert ingredient, polyethoxylated tallowamine, or POEA, was more deadly to human embryonic, placental and umbilical cord cells than the herbicide itself – a finding the researchers call “astonishing.”

“This clearly confirms that the [inert ingredients] in Roundup formulations are not inert,” wrote the study authors from France’s University of Caen. “Moreover, the proprietary mixtures available on the market could cause cell damage and even death [at the] residual levels” found on Roundup-treated crops, such as soybeans, alfalfa and corn, or lawns and gardens.

The research team suspects that Roundup might cause pregnancy problems by interfering with hormone production, possibly leading to abnormal fetal development, low birth weights or miscarriages.

Controversy about the safety of the weed killer recently erupted in Argentina, one of the world’s largest exporters of soy.

Emerging countries have a growing problem as the dump sites of toxic elements. When big businesses can no longer sell them in industrialized nations they often continue to sell them in the third world.

This is why I have been recommending the business idea of exporting the organic bio solution I call Ted’s Stuff to emerging countries.

Ted Tidwell has been a friend and reader for decades and he gave me a bottle of this organic, biodegradable degreaser called “1st enviro safety organic colloidal degreaser.” (This is why I call it Ted’s Stuff!)

The new name is Purely Green Clean.

That name was inspired by the Canadian Home Depot conclusion that this is the only cleaner that is purely green.

Ted’s Stuff aka Purely Green Clean creates a new import opportunity in Ecuador or anywhere that citrus is grown.

Here is where the opportunity comes in. The product can help farmers in many countries in many ways and now Texas A & M University recently tested Purely Green Clean as a possible solution to the Citrus Greening problem.

Purely Green Clean proved more effective than the highly toxic Bayer chemicals.

The Texas A&M results are being prepared for submittal to the EPA. The EPA will require additional testing.

If you know any citrus growers who would like to test Purely Green Clean in their groves,  you may have a business opportunity as special price discounts are available for citrus growers who wish to provide photos and written test results.

If this is of interest to you there is an excellent summation in a PDF file prepared entitled “Combatants in the War Against Citrus Greening May Have Some New, Safer, All Natural, Weapons.” Get a free copy emailed to you by Ted Tidwell at tedtid7@yahoo.com

This product could be an excellent import to Ecuador or any country that grows citrus.

I recently wrote about how Ted is helping Mexican farmers with an organic bio degradable product called Purely Green Clean in a recent article on Ecuador Import Opportunity.

Over the years, Ted has discovered that this degreaser and some derivative formulas make excellent bio washes, fertilizers and even pesticides (though they cannot be sold as such in some countries).

These solutions are certified free of all carcinogens.

One of the world’s largest retailers did an intensive study of all “green” and “environmental” cleaning products and discovered that these cleaners of Ted’s are the only truly green ones.

Many other “safe” cleaning products contain ethylene oxide and dioxane, both known to cause cancer.

I have personally purchased hundreds of bottles of Ted’s products over the years and paid full price.  I am not financially involved with the sale of this product in any way and do not receive any compensation whatsoever for writing this message or for the sale of Ted’s product.  Ted has given me eight bottles of Bio-Green Clean which I’ll be testing myself here in Florida.  Other than this my only motive is to see readers gain export opportunity that also helps the environment.
