Ecuador Real Estate Opportunity from Sweet People

by | Dec 7, 2007 | Archives

Ecuador real estate will profit due to the sweetness of its people. One reason I believe that increasing numbers of people will come to Ecuador is because of the people are so innocent and willing to serve. This makes life so pleasant there and makes Ecuador real estate worth much more.

A November 30 article showing why Ecuador real estate has an extra advantage is in USA Today said: “Jaume Tapies, 39, a pilot who speaks seven languages, is president of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux hotel group, which held its annual gathering this week in Washington, D.C. Tapies, whose family owns the El Castell de Ciutat hotel in Spain, spoke with USA TODAY’s Kitty Bean Yancey about the evolving and increasingly competitive luxury hotel landscape. The candidates apply and then Relais & Chateaux sends inspectors — mystery guests — to check that the quality is there and that behind the quality is a personality and a vision.”

Relais and Chateaux are the standard for fine hotels and when Mr. Tapes was asked what was most important, rooms, food or service, he stated that good service was the one attribute to be sought above all else. “Anyone with money can have a great room.” Was the way he put it. Sweetness is not so easy.

We see the importance of this at our hotel again and again.

Here is a note a reader who stayed at our hotel El meson de las Flores sent me this week:

“I have just returned from my trip to South America – Quito to the Peruvian Amazon (including a wonderful stop in Cotacachi and completing the Inca Trail Trek). The whole thing was nothing short of extraordinary but I did want to specifically let you know that I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights at El Meson de las Flores (at the end of October). The staff there are so warm and responsive I was able to wind down from a tough conference in Quito and change gears for a tour of the Galapagos the next week and forwards for the next three weeks. I was enchanted by the hotel and the town and look forward to my next visit. Cotacachi is now on the tops of my list of places to visit for my clients interested in South America .”

Note what the guest focused on, the warm and responsive care…not the wonderful rooms…food or beds the hotel has.

Here is another rave sent by a guest last week:

“My wife and I just returned from a trip to Ecudaor which included an eight day stay at El Meson. We would like to relate to just how wonderful the experience was and how well we were treated by the entire staff at the hotel. We have never stayed anywhere and received that kind of treatment. You are to be congratulated for having such a group as this. We were amazed and look forward to another trip in the future. Thanks for very much.”

Again note what was most important to these guests…the real, genuine care and affection. Our staff truly does care and this is a quality that cannot be bought.

Here are a couple of shots of us all having a great time with the hotel staff. We are like one big family here so when someone has a birthday…and we find out the staff always create a surprise. Here I am observing Eduardo preparing a birthday cake.

Here is Nicki Goff enjoying the cake!

The cake by the way is made with quinoa instead of flour…much higher in protein…see why this is important in a moment.

Here is more of the staff in the dining hall getting ready to help everyone have fun and relax.

From right to left…Mauricio, Franklin, Veronica and Chef Santiago chat with one of our Spanish teachers.

And they never tire of making people feel good. Each day is like a clean slate…starting with empty space.

Then these gentle souls fill this space with kindness and care to make everyone in residence feel like a family at home.

In the end the value of real estate is dependant on supply and demand. Ecuador real estate has beauty. Ecuador real estate is inexpensive. Most of all Ecuador real estate surrounds you with sweet caring people. I believe that this will increase demand in this stress filled world.

Until next message, may all the people in your life be sweet.
