Here is what eClub advisor Sir Alan Wormington shared with me.
“Gary, On tonight's evening broadcast of the Canadian Broadcast Corporation (CBC), there was a short documentary covering two Canadians — a husband and wife team — that followed the Porcupine Caribou herd from central Yukon north to Alaska's North Slope. For 5 months they followed the herd on foot, covering some 3000+ kilometres . . . I repeat ON FOOT!
“Much of their journey is covered in the link below, but I'm sure there will be much more on this couple's journey in the month's ahead.
“Following their expedition they immediately went to Washington to lobby against any plans for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Since you have written on this subject in the past, I thought you and your son might be interested. By the way, I've been to the Yukon and have witnessed myself this vast migration. Cheers, Alan.”
I have been writing about the importance of doing good to the environment as we do business and invest. If there enough potential oil (and the need) to risk harming the this pristine area?
Until next message, may all your adventures take you to unexplored wilderness without and within.
