Health or Wealth?

When the message about the importance of health in wealth comes true.

Dear international friend,

Here is a message from a reader. I cannot add anything that would say it better. Good global business and investing!

I really enjoy reading your newsletters and just experienced something I would like to share with you.

I have reached 65 and never been sick or hospitalized until last week, when I had a knee operation to repair a severed knee tendon, resulting from a fall off a stoop on to a concrete drive. For six weeks I will have a cast the entire length of my left leg and not be able to bend it.

I do not consider this life threatening, but I have not been able to climb stairs or do my normal activities.

It has made me realize that one should pick health over money. When ill, one can have all the money in the world and not be able to even travel to the store, distant places, ski, golf etc. Being stuck close to home does not allow me to spend money. In fact getting well is my concern and not material things.

I had heard the above many times but never thought about it until this accident. Health is much more important than money.”
